Sports: Hard Hit on Canadien Paints the Ice Red!

On Thursday, May the 2nd, Lars Eller; center of the Montréal Canadiens, was hit hard by Ottawa Senators defenceman Eric Gryba. There was about six and a half minutes left in the second period, Eller was trying to get a pass from fellow teammate Raphael Diaz when Gryba gave Eller a hard, high hit making him fall right on his face. As the commentator in the video below says, "(Gryba) instead of hitting him in the full body in the middle; which is fine, he only catches the head."

Many call the hit "clean", but Gryba has since then gotten a two game suspension ever since the hit. Since then, Eller has been on many sportfans' minds. Later that evening, the official Montréal Canadiens twitter had this to say about his condition:

So, is this a "clean hit"? Many, as said earlier, said that this is clean. But many also say it was a dirty hit. Either way, what do you think? Do you think hits like this, that cause athletes many injuries and problems later, will ever be totally boycotted? Do you think they should? What's your opinion? Let us know!

THIS IS THE VIDEO OF THE HIT.
